Former French Mission Building
Introduction
Declared Monument
The building was declared as Monument in 1989.
The red-brick architecture together with the various use of the building at different periods make the premises very interesting, unique and meaningful.
Building History
The Neo-classical building was used as the base venue by a group of French Catholic Fathers in 1917. Since 1953, it was used by various Government departments and the Judiciary (as Victoria District Court and Court of Final Appeal), and was converted for accommodation use by law-related organisations and related purposes forming part of the Hong Kong Legal Hub after recent conversion works.
